Mike Maloney has been in the plays "Educating Rita", "Blithe Spriit", "How the Other Half Loves" and has directed the plays "Thorn" and "Write about What you Know".  As Frankie Bellamy (AND Control Freak/Director) Mike says "What's it like directing "Suitehearts"?  "Let's see, I get to choose the actors, tell them what to wear, where to stand, what to say, and how to say it.  For three months I get to live the control freaks' dream.  Thank you. It becomes apparent that when you get to choose the exact cast you want, directing becomes a lot easier.  What a treat to work with the actors I have!   And the support team is superb,  from set design and construction to production and technical.  As a director you just try to keep out of their way so you don't slow them down.

I can only hope that you the audience will appreciate the time and effort that everyone on stage and off has put into this production.  They did it all in order that they might walk out on stage and stand there while you laugh at them.  What a very strange business to volunteer for!
